Our Genetics
Parkdale Valais Blacknose has genetics from several top flocks in the United Kingdom.
Our first embryos imported in 2018, were from two outstanding rams, Prendwick Eros and Prendwick Basil, and two exceptional ewes, Prendwick Dot and Prendwick Dell_Girl, from Jamie Wood, Prendwick Farm. This was followed by embryos from Raymond Irvine (Valais Blacknose Scotland) and Adam Kirkbride (Cumberland Valais Blacknose) and semen from Geralt and Kerry Costello-Jones (Snowdonia Valais Blacknose).

Parkdale Greta won Champion Valais Ewe and Supreme Champion Valais at the New Zealand Agricultural Show 2024.
Grand sire, Rose Creek Prinz Eugen, is the sire of Laurelhighland Bubbles, one of only three sheep graded maximum points at the USA National Valais Blacknose Sheep Show, 2023. Eugen is also the sire of Iowa Kevin, Champion Valais Ram and Reserve Supreme Champion at the same show and graded maximum points at the 2024 Show.
Greta has a pedigree full of maximum points genetics, including, Prendwick Basil graded maximum points twice in the UK with Eros, Hulk and King Kong all graded maximum points in Switzerland.
Parkdale Georgia
Date of Birth: 12 September 2023

Dam: Parkdale Billie
Parkdale Georgia was placed second behind Greta in her class at the NZ Agricultural Show, 2024. Georgia won Champion Valais Ewe and Supreme Champion Valais at the Hawarden Royal Show, 2025.
Grand sire, Rose Creek Prinz Eugen, is the sire of Laurelhighland Bubbles, one of only three sheep graded maximum points at the USA National Valais Blacknose Sheep Show, 2023. Eugen is also the sire of Iowa Kevin, Champion Valais Ram and Reserve Supreme Champion at the same show and graded maximum points at the 2024 Show.
Grandsire, Prendwick Basil and granddam, Prendwick Dot, on the dam’s side graded maximum points twice in the UK making them two of only nine Valais to have achieved this feat in the UK. Georgia's pedigree also contains maximum points graded Eros, Hulk and King Kong.

Dam, Parkdale Dot, is also dam of Iowa Koala, Reserve Champion Valais Blacknose Ewe and one of only three sheep graded maximum points at the USA National Valais Blacknose Sheep Show, 2023.
Gracie has a pedigree full of maximum points graded animals, including Eros, Basil, Hulk and King Kong.
Parkdale Ginny

Dam: Highland Imogene II
Ginny’s grandsire, Highland Eric, is maximum points and Overall Supreme Champion Valais at Blacknose Beauties, UK, in 2018. He also gained maximum points the following year, one of only two rams in the UK to have achieved this feat.
Ginny’s dam, Highland Imogene II is full sibling to Highland Incredible Hulk who was the sire of 4 of the 10 maximum points graded animals at Blacknose Beauties, UK in 2024.
Also in her pedigree are Hulk and Highland King Kong graded maximum points in Switzerland and Highland Queen graded maximum in the UK.

Glamour’s full siblings, Iowa Lavender Haze and Iowa Lilac, graded -1 off maximum at the USA National Valais Blacknose Sheep Show in 2024, coming first and second in their class, respectively.
Grand dam, Parkdale Bubbles, is the dam of Laurelhighland Bubbles, one of only three sheep graded maximum points at the USA National Valais Blacknose Sheep Show, 2023. Parkdale Bubbles is also the dam of Iowa Kevin who won Champion Purebred Ram and Reserve Supreme Champion Valais Blacknose at the same show and graded maximum points in 2024.
Grand sire, Snowdonia Goliath, set the overall breed sale record in the UK in 2021. Goliath was also Overall Reserve Champion and Overall Male Champion at Blacknose Beauties, UK 2021.
Glamour has a long list of maximum points graded animals in her pedigree: Prendwick Basil and Dot are both graded maximum points twice in the UK two of only ten Valais in the UK to achieve this. Eros, Hulk and King Kong graded maximum points in Switzerland. Westmoreland Ego and Dance are also both graded maximum points.

Gemma’s pedigree contains a host of maximum points animals. Grandsire, Highland Eric, maximum points (2017, 2018) and Overall Supreme Champion Valais at Blacknose Beauties, UK, in 2018.
Granddam (sire side) Highland Erin II, is two times maximum points (2018, 2019) and Supreme Champion Valais at Blacknose Beauties, UK, in 2019.
Granddam (dam side) Highland Emma also graded maximum points.
Also in Gemma's pedigree are Highland Breeze, Queen and King Kong all graded maximum points, Breeze twice.
Parkdale Frankie

Frankie has a pedigree full of maximum points, including Highland Eric (two times maximum), Emma, Queen, King Kong and Breeze (two times maximum).
Grand sire, Highland Eric was the Overall Supreme Champion Valais at Blacknose Beauties, UK, in 2018.
Great, grand dam, Highland Breeze won the Overall Supreme Champion Valais title at Blacknose Beauties, UK, in both 2016 and 2017.
Parkdale Floss

Floss is full sister to Iowa Kevin who was awarded maximum points and won Reserve Champion Purebred Ram at the USA National Valais Blacknose Sheep Show, 2024. Kevin also won Champion Purebred Ram and Reserve Supreme Champion Valais Blacknose at the same show in 2023.
Floss is also the full sister to Laurelhighland Bubbles who was one of only three sheep graded maximum points at the USA National Valais Blacknose Sheep Show in 2023.
Floss is the dam of Iowa Maker’s Mark who won Grand Champion Valais Ram at the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival held 3-4 May 2025.
She has a host of other maximum points in her pedigree, including Prendwick Basil and Prendwick Dot, graded maximum points in the UK. Eros, Hulk and King Kong graded maximum points in Switzerland.

Febe won Supreme Champion Valais Blacknose and Champion Ewe - New Zealand Agricultural Show 2023. In 2024 she won Reserve Champion Valais Blacknose Ewe at the same show.
Febe's sire, Parkdale Crackers, is the sire of Highland Kitty, graded maximum points and Supreme Champion Valais Blacknose at the USA National Valais Blacknose Sheep Show, 2023. Kitty is the only Valais in the USA to have been awarded maximum points for a second time at the 2024 USA National Show, also winning Champion Valais Ewe.
Febe’s pedigree contains numerous other maximum points graded animals including Prendwick Basil, Prendwick Dell-Girl and Prendwick Eros.

Francis’s sire, Snowdonia Goliath, set the overall breed sale record in UK in 2021. Goliath was also Overall Reserve Champion and Overall Male Champion at Blacknose Beauties, UK 2021.
Francis’s pedigree contains numerous other maximum points graded animals including Westmorland Dancer, Westmorland Ego, Prendwick Basil and Prendwick Eros. Eros has sired the largest number of maximum points graded offspring of any ram in the UK.
