Each year there are Valais Blacknose Shows around the world, with the most well-known being in Switzerland and England. There are now also shows in the USA and NZ.

New Zealand
In November 2023, the NZVBSS hosted six Valais classes at the
New Zealand Agricultural Show
in Christchurch.
This was very exciting for the breed.
Our Parkdale Stud did exceptionally well winning Supreme Champion Valais Blacknose and Champion and Reserve Champion Valais Blacknose Ewe and Champion and Reserve Champion Valais Blacknose Ram.
In addition to winning Champion Valais Blacknose Ram, Parkdale Flynn also took third place in the Champion All Breeds Best Wool Breed Ram Hogget, a testament to his outstanding fleece.
In November 2024, we attended our second New Zealand Agricultural Show. Once again, our Parkdale stud came out on top winning Supreme Champion Valais Blacknose and Champion and Reserve Champion Valais Blacknose Ewe and Champion and Reserve Champion Valais Blacknose Ram.
November 2025 once again saw an outstanding result by Parkdale Valais Blacknose at the New Zealand Agricultural Show 2025, winning Supreme Champion Valais Blacknose and Champion and Reserve Champion Valais Blacknose Ewe and Champion and Reserve Champion Valais Blacknose Ram.
Parkdale Highlight: 2025 Supreme Champion Valais Blacknose and Champion Valais Blacknose Ram, and like Parkdale Flynn two years earlier, Parkdale Highlight took out third place in the Champion All Breeds Best Wool Breed Ram Hogget, a testament to his outstanding fleece.

We have travelled to Des Moines, Iowa, USA to attend the USA National Valais Blacknose Show every year since the inaugural show in 2023.
We are so proud that our Parkdale embryo progeny, did so well featuring in all three maximum graded animals and Supreme Champion and Reserve Champion Purebred at the Show in 2023.
The 2024 Show was again a great result for us with our Parkdale genetics from our embryo progeny receiving maximum points and awarded Reserve Champion Purebred Ram, Champion Purebred Ewe and Reserve Champion Purebred at the Show.
Our spectacular Parkdale Crackers is the sire of Highland Kitty, graded maximum points for three consecutive years, 2023, 2024 and 2025. Making her only the second Valais outside of Switzerland to achieve this incredible status. Kitty was Champion Purebred Ewe and Supreme Champion Purebred in 2023 and Champion Purebred Ewe and Reserve Supreme Champion in 2024. Kitty's dam, Highland Halle, is also owned by us.
Parkdale Bubbles,is the dam of Laurelhighland Bubbles (Parkdale embryo progeny), graded maximum points in 2023. She is also the dam of Iowa Kevin (Parkdale embryo progeny), the Champion Purebred Ram and Reserve Supreme Champion in 2023 and graded maximum points in 2024 and Reserve Champion Purebred Ram.
Parkdale Dot is the dam of Iowa Koala (Parkdale embryo progeny), maximum points and Reserve Champion Purebred Ewe in 2023.
Parkdale Cloud and Highland Indiana Jones (owned by us), dam and sire of SCM Mattijs (Parkdale embryos progeny), maximum points and Reserve Champion Purebred Ram in 2025.
The 2025 top 5 pure Valais rams of the Show included Champion Valais Blacknose Ram and *maximum points* - Iowa Midnight Moonshine, sire and dam are both embryo progeny from Parkdale.
Reserve Champion Valais Ram and *maximum points* - SCM Mattijs, an embryo progeny ram from Parkdale (Cloud/Indiana Jones).
3rd place - Iowa Mexcal (sire Iowa Kevin is an embryo progeny ram from Parkdale)
4th place - Iowa Kevin - embryo progeny ram from Parkdale (Bubbles/Eugen).
The 2025 top 5 ewes of the Show included Champion Valais Ewe: Highland Kitty - sired by our Parkdale Crackers and dam Highland Halle owned by us.
Reserve Champion Ewe: WIVBS Marmalade is sired by our Parkdale Flynn, her dam is a Parkdale embryo ewe (Iowa Lavender Haze - Parkdale Elvis/Daffodil)
3rd place: WIVBS Malibu is sired by our Highland Isa and dam is a Parkdale embryo ewe (Iowa Lavender Haze - Parkdale Elvis/Daffodil)
4th place: Iowa Miss America (dam - Highland Kitty out of Parkdale Crackers)
5th place: SCM Miette - a Parkdale embryo ewe, sire Parkdale Elvis, dam Highland Ingrid who is owned by us.

All our pure-bred Valais Blacknose Sheep in New Zealand have been imported as embryos from the UK. Every August, Blacknose Beauties is held in Carlisle, England.
Sheep are graded by Swiss and UK judges using the Swiss system and maximum points. At the end of the show there are awards for the Overall Male and Female Champion and then Reserve and Overall Supreme Champion.
We were lucky enough to attend the Blacknose Beauties Show in 2019, 2022 and again in 2025.
